Lauren Loucks is in her fifth year as an assistant for the Emporia State softball program after being a four-year starter at conference rival Central Missouri.

While working with the team, Loucks is also a professor at ESU, teaching physical education foundation, coaching and health classes. She also advises P.E. and health education and supervises student teachers.

Loucks was a four year letterwinner and all-MIAA infielder for Central Missouri. She graduated suma cum laude from CMSU after attending Mound City High School in Mound City, Mo.
